Co-production involves working with parents/carers and young people who have SEN and disabilities to understand your experiences of using local services. This enables improved understanding of the gaps in provision and facilitates ways to suggest improvements. Engagement with children, young people and their families is important to inform all stages of planning and delivering services. Parent Carers Together is a forum set up to represent the voices of parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. They provide feedback via events, consultations, questionaires to the local authority to ensure the needs of children and young people are met and are regularly involved with developments, services and information provision. SENDiass for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole offers support for children and young people up to 25 years with SEN and disabilities. The service provides appropriate information to help children and young people make their own informed decisions and to express your views accordingly.
